General Description

Overall accountability and responsibility for management of NABOS and CANRIG's sales, marketing and business development within China, across all product and services lines. Responsible for growth of revenue and profit margins.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience.
  • 7-10 years of relevant industry experience, including sales management experience.
  • Demonstrated experience using sales and operations planning, business development planning and other structured processes to build and then execute a business plan.
  • Experience in drilling rig equipment sales and/or service markets within China.
  • Strong organization skills, effective communication and leadership skills.
  • Fluent in written and verbal English and Chinese language skills.

Principal Tasks

Strategic Planning

  • Develop business development plans, markets share analyses and opportunity pipeline reports to expand CANRIG's existing business and move into new markets within the region, including new product and service lines.
  • Responsible for market analysis and segmentation within the region.
  • Participate in corporate budgeting process to set and then achieve sales targets.

Sales Management

  • Serve as senior sales representative in high level customer meetings.
  • Ensure sales and operations planning forecasts are updated in real time.
  • Coordinate with corporate sales and business line managers, as well as corporate Supply Chain and Manufacturing departments to ensure accurate forecasting.
  • Ensure customer relationship management system is fully adopted and consistently used.
  • Coordinate with operations to ensure high service quality delivery.
  • Ensure sales functions (including quotation, invoicing and collection) are executed efficiently in coordination with other department.
  • Manage customer transition from product sales to aftermarket sales and service.
  • Mange costs of sales, marketing and business development in the region to meet plan targets.

Marketing

  • In coordination with corporate Marketing Department, prepare a marketing strategy to reach key customers and maintain CANRIG's brand value within the region.
  • Ensure that trade shows, print and electronic advertising, collateral materials and other marketing efforts are appropriate and cost effective.
  • Organize participation in trade and technical conferences to demonstrate CANRIG's products and services.
  • In coordination with the corporate Marketing Department, write and publish technical paper to promote CANRIG's products and services.
  • Organize customer marketing events as appropriate

Business Development

  • Research new market, products and services for CANRIG's growth within China.
  • Prepare business development plans for expansion to new products, services and territories.

Personnel Management

  • Development effective sales and support team for all product and service lines.
  • Establish sales compensation programs consistent with CANRIG policies that drives high sales performance.
  • Ensure full compliance with all legal and compliance policies, including anticorruption compliance rules.

Specific Expertise

  • An in-depth knowledge of drilling equipment and services.
  • Commercial acumen as it relates to the profitability and growth of CANRIG's business in the region.
  • Ability to think, plan and implement strategically.
  • Experience in personnel management.
  • In-depth understanding and appreciation for CANRIG's vision, mission and strategies along with ability to translate to employees and actions.
  • Ability to demonstrate and convey CANRIG Core Value to employees.
