Position Title:Customs Coordinator

DESCRIPTION

 

BASIC FUNCTIONS:

¡ñ Responsible to provide importation and exportation management support to all groups involved in HOCL E&P operations;
¡ñ Responsible for management of Customs formalities that are an end result of the procurement strategy development process;
¡ñ Responsible for processing of policies, circulars, rules¡­etc. issued by General Administrative Customs, Ministry of Finance which impact on the HOCL E&P operations;
¡ñ Responsible for liaison with CNOOC Procurement with respect of all matters concerning Customs process;
¡ñ Responsible for liaison with the customs that have authority over the area where HOCL E&P operations are taking place, concerning importation and exportation Customs formalities process;
¡ñ To ensure all importation and exportation activities are in accordance with active laws, policies, circulars, rules¡­ issued by the government and /or the government authorities.
¡ñ To work closely with the Operations, Finance and Procurement Managers to ensure the services provided in line with the requirements of HOCL operations and adhere to Husky Procurement policy.
¡ñ To work with Procurement, Drilling, Engineering and Production administration groups in projects to control and monitor costs.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS AND CONTACTS:

Reports to: Procurement Manager

Directs: To provide functional guidance as a customs coordinator to the Procurement department as required.

Internal Relationships: Takes direction including work priorities directly from the Procurement Manager. Provide direction to the HOCL departments with respect to customs practice, policies and procedures.

Continue to expand the Procurement sphere of influence within Husky.

External Relationships: Liaise with the suppliers and/or contractors that support HOCL¡¯S offshore E&P operations as required.

Develop relationships with peers in other oil companies in order to:
¡ñ gather market intelligence and to obtain ideas that may add efficiency and effectiveness to HOCL¡¯S Procurement functions
¡ñ better identify and understand customs best practices
